YES on 3 at 54% in polls!

54% now favor rolling back the Massachusetts sales tax from 6.25% to 3%, reveals Statehouse News Service Poll (9-8-10):

• 54% favor
• 44% oppose
• 2% undecided

Support FOR our tax roll back has increased from 49% in May to 54% today.

YES on 3 vote now leads by 10 points – double what it was in May.

Political insiders, pundits, and experts told us that support for our sales tax roll back would drop in late summer. And that opposition to our tax cut initiative would rise.

The opposite happened. Our support rose from 49% to 54%. The opposition is stuck at 44%.

All Massachusetts adult age groups support rolling back the sales tax from 6.25% to 3%.

• Ages 18-39: 62% support, 36% oppose.
• Ages 40-64: 52% support, 46% oppose.
• Ages 65+: 59% support, 40% oppose.
